Kingston University offers a range of state-of-the-art facilities, unique venues and flexible learning spaces that are available to hire.

Hire of specialist facilities, laboratories, studios and workshops
We have invested heavily in cutting-edge specialist facilities, laboratories, studios and workshops covering a wide range of disciplines. They can be hired for concept testing, product development, research, creative ventures and more.
Facilities are fitted with professional-grade equipment; technical expertise is available from dedicated expert technicians who can support you in your use of our spaces.
Kingston School of Art recently completed an award-winning £32m extension, featuring a suite of world-leading art and design studios and workshops.
- 3D workshop with dedicated spaces for stone, ceramics, metal work, plastics, plaster, welding and a casting foundry
- Digital media workshop featuring 128 iMac workstations for 2D and 3D design and large format scanners and printers
- Fashion workshop including a range of sewing and knitting machines
- HackSpace which features 3D printing, electronic components, sensors, soldering stations and tools for prototyping and hackable electronics
- Moving image workshop featuring studios enabled for broadcast-quality filming, sound recording, animation and motion graphics and post-production
- Photography workshop which can accommodate projects at all scales, including table-top photography, backdrops, lighting facilities, traditional and digital darkrooms and specialist equipment such as a super slow motion camera
- Printmaking studio, fully equipped from a Risograph and screen printing facilities to a letterpress and bookbinding area.
- Specialist psychology and behavioural laboratories equipped with high-specification equipment and software (such as electroencephalogram (EEG), eye-tracking, behavioural recording, and general cognitive and physiological testing)
- Real-time Bloomberg Trading room, featuring dual screen terminals that can access company financials, market data, a communications platform, current news and research reports.
- Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, with unique live threat intelligence facilities, named an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education by the UK's leading technical authority on cyber security
- Centre for Augmented and Virtual Reality Environments, containing virtual reality headsets, eye-trackers and sensors to monitor movements and brain activity.
- Full-sized wind tunnel for testing designs such as parachutes, water speed vehicles and motorbikes
- A Learjet lab and flight simulator makes it possible to virtually ‘fly' an aircraft design
- Rocket testing facilities, satellite ground station, automotive engineering lab, specialist concrete, hydraulics, machine lab, materials and metrology lab, motorsports, soils, toxicology and structures labs.
- Practice simulation suites that include home environments and immersive rooms for developing and practising clinical skills in a safe environment.
- Our new building, Town House (winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2021) holds our professional dance and drama studios as well as performance and event spaces available for hire
- A range of professional music studio facilities are available to hire including the Visconti Studio stocked with vintage and rare recording equipment and featuring a unique collection of instruments including a Mellotron, a Hammond organ, and a Steinway concert grand piano.
- Fully equipped nutrition kitchen and industry-standard biomechanics and exercise physiology laboratories
- Scene-of-crime house, enables students to gain experience using specialist equipment and precise techniques to obtain evidence from the scene of a crime
Hire of other University spaces
Our versatile, modern venues and high-quality spaces can facilitate a variety of meetings, events and occasions.
We offer classrooms, lecture theatres, meeting rooms, event venues, exhibition spaces, filming locations and dining facilities of varying sizes. Our University spaces can also offer ideal locations for filming.

Town House, winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2021, Kingston University's new landmark building on Penrhyn Road campus is available to be hired for meetings, conferences, filming, performances, events and more.
Designed by award-winning Grafton Architects and capturing the spirit of learning and community cohesion, the building features an amphitheatre-style performance space seating 270 and a meeting room seating 30 on the top floor with stunning views over Kingston.
Our well-equipped halls of residence can be hired outside of term-time for residential conferences, groups and individuals.
The University also has a sports ground at Tolworth Court which provides excellent facilities for outdoor sports, with a pavilion comprising a café, bar and event space.
Hire of Dorich House Museum
Located close to Kingston Hill campus, Dorich House Museum is the 1930s former home of renowned sculptor, Dora Gordine. The museum holds the largest collection of Gordine's paintings, drawings and sculpture in the world, as well as an important collection of Russian art and design.
