Applications for halls of residence are now open.
New rooms now available! We are pleased to be able to offer some further undergraduate and postgraduate rooms:
Halls of residence applications will be online, and you'll receive an email to inform you when this process opens. If you have not received this email, please check the information below first.
You will only be invited to apply for halls of residence if you are an applicant with either a Conditional Firm (CF) or Unconditional Firm (UF) offer for a full-time course at Kingston University, starting in September 2023. You must have accepted this offer to be eligible for your accommodation application. You will receive the halls application email within 48 hours of your offer acceptance.
If you believe you meet these criteria but have not received the email (and have checked your spam folder), please get in touch.
In order to secure your room booking, you are required to make an Advanced Payment of £200 within five days of selecting your room online. More information on how to make this payment will be provided when you are sent the invite to book your room.
You will also be required to set up a Recurring Card Payment (RCP) at this time for your three rent instalments through the academic year.
If you are currently enrolled at Kingston University and are interested in halls accommodation from September 2023, please note there is no guarantee of halls room availability. If we do have rooms available, we will open these to applications from returning students later in the year. All updates to this process will be communicated on this webpage.
Nonetheless, in the meantime we highly recommend you begin to browse the private rental market, if you have any questions about this, please do contact the accommodation team.
We have a range of accommodation especially for disabled students. To find a room that suits your needs, please get in touch with our disability advisers before you apply for adapted accommodation.
You have the right to cancel your halls contract with the University, providing it's 14 days prior to the move-in date. This means that you can change your mind without any strings attached.
Please note: When you have moved into your room, your right to cancel does not apply. You will be liable for the halls fees for the entire period of the Licence Agreement.
Please get in touch if you have any queries for the accommodation team at Kingston University.
