Three of our halls of residence are being refurbished and we think you'll love the finished results!
Seething Wells is having areas transformed into collaborative, social spaces and modern communal areas. The bedrooms and kitchens are being fully refurbished to increase your living space.
Over on our Kingston Hill campus, Chancellors Hall and Walkden Hall have had their bedrooms and kitchens enlarged and refurbished.
The redesign and refurbishment is being competed by Equans, a leading energy and services group. Renewable and energy-saving technologies such as air source heat pumps, solar panels, high efficiency gas boilers and LED lighting will be installed as part of the project.
Equans have come together with Kingston University to create Kingston Student Living (KSL). KSL will operate and manage Chancellors, Seething Wells, and Walkden.
Our £55 million accommodation redesign programme will provide 1,330 refurbished bedrooms across our Chancellors, Walkden and Seething Wells halls of residence.
The progressive placemaking project will deliver new energy-efficient, state-of-the-art bedrooms, striving towards a new and improved residential student experience.
We will keep everyone up-to-date regarding the progress of this project and will be sharing photos and videos along the way – we hope you are as excited to see these new sleek and modern rooms as we are!
The accommodation refurbishment project launched in 2019 and all construction work will be completed by summer 2023.
