The Corporate Procurement Unit (PDF) is a dedicated centre of excellence for all procurement related matters on behalf of Kingston University and St George's, University of London.
We promote efficient, effective and sustainable procurement, working with our customers and suppliers to ensure that we maximise the value for money on all expenditure covering goods, services and works. We are also keen to attract added value opportunities through our procurements, especially those that add value to the experiences gained by our students.
Our Procurement Strategy (PDF) provides a roadmap outlining where we are aiming to further develop our services and our Supplier Relationship Management Strategy (PDF) sets out how we intend to work collaboratively with our suppliers.
Our Procurement policy identifies the key drivers for procurement and explains how procurement will contribute to the delivery of value for money across Kingston University and St George's University of London, remove any inefficiencies and build sustainable and ethical supply chains.
Kingston University and St George's, University of London are both members of, and work collaboratively with, the London Universities Purchasing Consortium.
The team's approach to enhance our sustainable procurement opportunities has been recognised through achieving Level 4 of the Flexible Framework (please refer to the following section for more information).
Kingston University and St George's, University of London are committed to embedding the principles of sustainability within its procurement activities. This means we will make a balanced assessment of the social, ethical, environmental and economic impacts of our spend throughout our procurement process, and work with our supply chain to improve these where possible.
We are keen to work with suppliers who can support our approach to sustainability and can demonstrate continual improvement in environmental management and ethics.

For high-value procurements, Kingston University and St George's, University of London must comply with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 which require us to advertise all contract opportunities in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), where the overall value of the purchase exceeds the latest financial thresholds. Potential suppliers can register to see these advertisements.
