We're looking for mentors for a six-month mentoring scheme supporting Kingston students:
Our Beyond Barriers mentoring scheme helps second-year and postgraduate students from traditionally under-represented groups achieve their potential through a tailored one-to-one mentoring relationship. You can support the students by offering impartial guidance, encouraging new experiences and positive choices, and helping to inspire self-confidence. Taking part in the Beyond Barriers scheme has proved beneficial to everyone involved – read some of the mentors and mentees stories.
See how beneficial a mentoring partnership is for the student and the mentor. Alumna, Jean Lebleu (Communication Design: Illustration & Animation MA, 2011) and her publishing student mentee, Symmone Cupidore, share their story.
Contact the team on 020 8417 4025 or email beyondbarriers@kingston.ac.uk for more information.
