The Union of Kingston Students aims to 'make life better for Kingston students'. It provides independent support alongside a range of other services to help you enjoy your time here.

The Union of Kingston Students also represents the views of students both locally to the University and nationally via the National Union of Students (NUS). 

The Union of Kingston Students is a democratically student-led organisation, which holds annual elections for its full- and part-time officers and course reps. It runs:

• a wide range of student-led sports clubs and societies;
• the social events held during Freshers' Week – an orientation programme organised each September to help our new students settle in and get to know each other; and
• voluntary work in the local community.

Taking advantage of these opportunities can really improve your university experience and increase your chances of employment. And, should you need extra support while you're at Kingston, the Union of Kingston Students also provides an independent advice service, which includes an in-house Citizens Advice Bureau.

The Union of Kingston Students is affiliated to the NUS, which offers a student discount card called NUS Extra.
