I have over 20 years of clinical nursing and education experience here and abroad. I have previous experience of teaching on the pre-registration Children's Nursing Course where I have been nominated for an award for College of Nursing, Midwifery and Healthcare Lecturer of the Year. I am now the Pathway Leader for Maternal and Child Health Modules and lead on the Neonatal Modules. I am also a link lecturer for Child Nursing students in St. Georges Hospital.
Prior to venturing into teaching in Higher Education I have worked as a Neonatal Network Facilitator, under a project by Health Education England Northwest London. The role enabled me to work in 6 different Neonatal Units within Northwest London facilitating newly qualified band 5 nurses and nurses new to speciality offering face to face training and support. I have also been part of the working group of Pan London Educators that put together the Pan London Band 5 Competency Book for Neonatal Nurses during my time as a unit practice educator. I have also have pecialisation in Neonatal Surgery and worked in a level 3 Surgical NICU.
