I am a senior lecturer in politics and international relations as well as the politics department's postgraduate programme coordinator and course leader for the MSc in international relations. I joined the department in 2014, having previously taught at the University of Bath, SOAS, London Metropolitan University and UCL.

Research

As a former chef, my interests and research are focused on the sociological, political and international relations dimensions of food. I explore these through four broad research areas: the relationship between food, national identity/nationalism and globalisation; food in the context of settler colonialism; British food policy post-Brexit; and food (in)security in the UK
