I have been a Senior Lecturer at Kingston University since 2005, and from 2013 till 2021 Academic Director for the Undergraduate and Apprenticeship programme. I have obtained much knowledge and experience by working within a worldwide Real Estate Consultant and Asset Manager role in the Real Estate industry (St James's, West End London) as Global Head of Asset Management and Performance Reporting (assets app. £2Bn in 2004). I have also held the position of Academic Director of the PG course.
I am a recognised Senior member of the Higher Education Academy since 2014 and member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools, and hold a European chartered membership within the industry. I obtained my Masters in Real Estate in 1999 (UK and The Netherlands) and have a PGCert. in Higher Education.
As Senior Lecturer I focus on Corporate Real Estate, Investment Strategy, Asset Management and Real Estate Research modules and ensure the course is linked with industry professionals, ensuring knowledge remains on par with the market, a coherent whole and that students benefit positively.
I am also embarking on Research investigating the evolution of the role of Women within Real Estate, focusing on their Wellbeing and the furthering of their role within the industry. I have been part of the Well-being at Work Research Group, and am currently working within the Future of Work Research Group. I am also a member of the Association of Women in Property (WiP), and select and mentor female students to partake in the WiP annual awards.
During the 2020 pandemic lockdown I have also had the opportunity of completing the Science of Wellbeing course delivered by Prof. Laurie Santos of Yale University. I utilised some of the well researched tools and techniques to help students with new added challenges.
