About
I am a part-time Lecturer at Kingston Business School, specialising in Healthcare Leadership and Operations. Due to my experience outside of academia, I lecture a wide variety of subjects including Project Management, Operations Management, Health Services Marketing, Information for Health, and other subjects as required.
I am an alumnus of KBS (my MBA was completed here in 2011), and I immediately began lecturing following this, initially as a Visiting Fellow, then an HPL and now as a part-time member of staff.
In my main roles outside of the University, I am the Managing Director of two companies (a management consultancy and a research organisation), and a Professor at another business school. I also am the Chair of a couple of organisations and work for the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) on the Education and Digital Skills Panel, and the IT Policy Panel. Until recently, I was the Vice-Chair of the Health and Care Executive at the British Computer Society (BCS).
Prior to these roles, I have been a CIO in the NHS, a CTO for a FTSE 250 company and have worked across the globe in many management and technology roles.
My experience in strategy, operations, management, technology and research all allow me to bring real-life examples to the classroom, which helps engage all students.
In my other professional life, I am passionate about change management, especially in the healthcare and education sectors, where we service a number of clients.
