I am a multi-disciplinary creative working as an artist, filmmaker and creative director with a demonstrated history of working within the arts, media and comms and educational sectors.
Originally from Australia, I have travelled extensively and worked in a number of industries and in varying roles before decidedly settling on all things creative, going on to complete a Fine Art BA at Middlesex University.
Collaboration and connection with local communities through my creative work is what excites me. My art practice focuses on the notion of the gaze and it's sculpting potential on gender identity, its connection to landscape and the inhabiting bodies being carriers of narratives. I have presented films, performances and exhibitions both in the UK and Europe at venues and institutions such as the BFI, Focal Point Gallery, TAP Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Muzeum Kinematografii, Tina B Festival, ParkZeit Langrütiand The Palace International Film Festival.
I am passionate about creative diversity and education and actively advocate to improve who has access and is supported within the creative industries through my teaching and through various platforms. I founded Greater than 11%, a podcast that focuses on promoting creative careers of underrepresented groups and those that have been – and continue to be – marginalised across the creative sectors. This work contributed to being included in Ad Age's 20 Women to Watch Europe 2020 and in 2019 being awarded the Women in Advertising and Communications, Leadership (WACL) Future Leaders Award and the prestigious Patricia Mann Award.
I started my career in higher education in 2019, teaching part-time on the Creative Producing BA at The University of Essex and subsequently joined the Creative and Cultural Industries BA at Kingston. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and working with students to develop their skills and create work that is meaningful and they are connected to.
I currently lead Customer Mindfulness and Live Case Study modules on the Creative and Cultural Industries BA, whilst still actively working in the industry part-time for creative agency, Hub, as their creative director.
