Cathy Hawley

About

I am a practicing architect, previously an Associate at muf architecture/art and a Founding Partner at Riches Hawley Mikhail. Throughout my career I have combined practice with academia at institutions including London Metropolitan University, the Architectural Association and the University of Kingston. 

Riches Hawley Mikhail were four times Housing Design Award Winners, BD Housing architect of the Year 2009 and our Clay Field project won an RIBA Award and was mid-listed for the Stirling Prize. Goldsmith Street, a social housing development in Norwich with Mikhail Riches, was awarded the 2019 Stirling Prize.

I have been the recipient of the RIBA Rome Scholarship in Architecture, a member of the British School at Rome Fine Arts Steering Committee and I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I have been External Examiner at CSM, London Metropolitan University and currently act as External Examiner for the University of East London. I work as an architect practitioner in my own practice as well as with muf architecture/art.
