Originally from Spain, Juan trained as an architect and urban designer in Valladolid, Madrid and Ghent before gaining his diploma from ETSAV in 2015. While working on his Master's Thesis, he obtained a scholarship to research housing typologies and their relationship with the evolving city under the topic of Flexibility, Transformability, and Adaptability in Modern Dwelling.
Juan works as a Senior Urban Designer at Publica. Before, Juan worked as an architect for Morris + Company in London, and for Sauerbruch Hutton in Berlin. His previous experience has seen him work on a number of projects, ranging across a wide range of typologies and scales, including housing, commercial, healthcare, education and urban planning
