About

My profound passion for Interior Design and Architecture set me on a journey that commenced at the University of Plymouth, where I earned a Bachelor's degree and RIBA Part I accreditation. Following this, my trajectory encompassed practical experience gained through running my own practice and positions in residential firms in the South-West, before returning to academia to pursue a Master's in Architecture at the University of Brighton, where I acquired RIBA Part II qualification.

The next step in my career was to return to the residential sector in London, before joining an AJ100 practice, where I was given the opportunity to design and deliver large-scale million-pound-plus projects, many of which have been successfully realised on site.

This background uniquely positioned me to teach across Architecture, Interior Design and Urban Design at the University of Brighton at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, where I continue to run a short course in digital skills and representation for Master's students.

Presently, my primary role concerns lecturing on the BA Interior Design course at Kingston University with the aim of upskilling the students to help them communicate and represent their designs more effectively, while being mindful of the positive and reflective impact this can have upon the design process. Reflecting on my practice experience, I am always keen to draw links between academia and practice to help the students' ‘ground' their work in the built environment and encourage them to gain an insight into their future practice.

My research interests involve the practical application of emerging technologies, presently focused on the integration of Generative AI into the design process, as a form of early-stage ideation and communication of conceptual development. Alongside this I have a strong knowledge base in digital manufacturing which is supplemented through my extensive digital capabilities.
