If you are interested in competing for the University or committing to regular club training and activities, there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved.
The majority of the University clubs and teams are run by the Union of Kingston Students. The competitive sports clubs compete in inter-university fixtures on Wednesday afternoons through the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).
Please note: all members of Union of Kingston Students' sports clubs must purchase a £35 Union of Kingston Students sports card.
If you would like to become involved in rowing whilst at Kingston University you might like to join Kingston Rowing Club. Although it is primarily a sporting club it is also a very social club. Regular training sessions are held throughout the week including training on the water and in the gym. You will gain the opportunity to row with other Kingston University students and possibly even represent Kingston University in one of the two main British Universities and Colleges Sports regatta events, competing against other universities.
To express an interest in joining the club, please contact Kingston Rowing Club directly and explain you are a Kingston University student. You may be entitled to a significantly reduced annual membership (should you be selected) so please apply as soon as possible. You do not have to be an experienced rower to become a member as all abilities are welcome.
Training takes place up to four times a week, with river sessions on Wednesday afternoons.
